speech delay = autism????

25 month old DD only babbling.very rarely she says

a word,that too out of her own.

however,she does not or twirl or spin

does not line up toys or throw a tantrum when i disorganize stuff

does not worry about change in routine

she does not have too much attachment to any things

teh basic autistic symptoms are not there..

she does smile and like being around other kids

she uses brush,cup,etcetc appropritately

anyways speech delay isthere.got speech appt got only after an yr ]

hearing tests came normal

however,she does not ask for water.goes and gets it herself else keeps quiet

she knows what bye bye is but do not wave.

loves looking at her in the mirror and when i sing"if u happy and uknow it song" does it looking in the mirror

anyways...depressed to thecore as according to milestones kids should have vast vocabulary by 2.

writing this after my 11th cup of strong coffee:)not kidding.extremely depressed.
