I couldn't believe my eyes. I never expected this. In the history of our nation for the first time a woman commander was leading the guard of honour for a prestigeous foreign dignitary. Really it was a moment of proud and joy for the womenfolk of India.
A great surprise!
Puja Thakur, an IAF Wing Commander led the guard of honour and she did it in a grand manner. After she gave the command the US and Indian National Anthem were played. She escorted Obama for the inspection of the try-service guard of honour.
Her leading the ceremonial guard of honour comes as ' Nari Shakthi' which is the republic day theme for tomorrow. This will be the first time when women contingents of army, Air Force and Navy will march down the Rajpath.
