Hallo Ladies, im very sad and sorry to ask this question and to inform you that a 5 year old boy in my closer family had to undergone a one-sided testicle amputation. I came to know about the need of the surgery just recently and was quite under shock. The original problem was an undescendend testicle. The parents got the information while the boy was a baby. But unfortunately they for some reason which wont get into my head thought it would might dessapear by itself if they just wait and do nothing. So the boy didnt get any treatment. Until resently elders insisted its now urgent and something has to be done. This is when me too came to know about this. The cute innocent little boy didnt know about anything until they enterd hospital to not put him into shock or stress him. During the surgery the doctors decided they need to amputate the testicle which didnt come down from the inguinal region or even higher, i dont know exactly. So it didnt grow like the other testicle, I forgot the medical term when its astrophied and wont "work" like its supposed.
If that happens the cancer risk increases 20 - 30 %!!
Hence the testicle of the boy needed to be removed for safety reasons.
He is recovering good and is already active again and eats normal, it seems for now everything is on track. He doesnt really know yet.

Now my questions:
- Im praying for him daily, before and after the surgery... I used the prayer suggested to me here in IL before the surgery and wanted to ask if anyone knows any prayer or pooja to be performed for the recover of the little boy.
- Most important: What about his testosterone level?!? Will it be affected? Is he producing now too less testosterone? As far I know the vertility will be ok as long the other testicle is healthy and normal so he shouldnt have problems in becoming a father later, am I right? But what about hormonal level? Is one testicle able to take over for two so he would grow into a normal healthy man?????? I googled for hours and could just find information about full castration or cancer on men, please if anyone knows help! Do we need to check his blood and in case hormones are not in order inject him some???
Another thing i like to do is spreading some awareness that such things can happen to boys and the proper period to wait is arround 10 months!!!! And even during these first months after the birth the baby need to be checked and observed. Treatment should happen as early as possible otherwise such sad stories repead and affect the life of an innocent child. There are several ways of treatments for several kinds of undescended testicles (the placements of the testicles)
Please mothers of boys, check the testicles of your baby and toddler boys by times to avoid undetected problems.
