When?

Every grain of sand

In this vast seashore

Reminds you as I stand

Alone now, my eyes pour!

Each conch that I take

To my ear, says your name.

I now lost all my stakes

Henceforth will remain the same.

This is where we met last,

You ran in to the water fast.

I raced too, but you went past.

You won then, now I'm lost.

Someone's presence is at best

Known in the absence, I know.

What I don't know is just

When you'll come back, you know?

In the gentle drizzle that pours,

In the evening sun that shines,

In the rainbow that just soars,

I see you. You are always mine!

There may come a day when

I go to that point where

The sky and earth join! Then

I will be with you, for sure!
