Need info abt things to be taken from India to Redmond(US)

Hi All,

I m travelling to Redmond (US) next week and I would like to know can we take homemade masala powder or not. I heard few of my friends said only branded masala powders from stores alone cane taken and not the homemade ones.

can anyone suggest on this pls?

also I heard we can get ingredients to grind the same there. Will it be a fine powder if we grind it in mixie?

Also I used to give sathumaavu kanchi(homemade health mix) to my son. Can I prepare the same and take it to Redmond

or do we need to take only the readymade powders from shops
