A little downtime....

And I just wanted to share the sweetness that has taken over! An absolutely perfect and healthy angel!

I was induced Thursday morning around 5am, and I labored naturally as long as I could. By 6pm or so, I was still only at 5cms, and requested the epidural. I was fully ready and prepared for no pain-meds, but with the slow progression I just couldn't take the pain anymore.

Baby Emma was born at 8:43pm, weighing 7lbs 1oz and 20 inches long. I am totally in love with her, Daddy is completely smitten, and we are all enjoying watching her and listening to her sweet sounds. Nursing is going great, and she seems like a natural!
