Welcome!

Her fingers were wet,

Her eyes sparkled but.

Her body seemed to soak,

In the hall lied her cloak.

Like a seven year old,

She stood there adamant,

It was not foolishly bold.

And she was normal, not bent.

A welcome break that she longed for,

Came to her after several years.

She traveled alone, for long and far.

Finally without any trace of fear.

Never had she thought that she would

Be away from her dear ones earlier.

Never did she think that her life would

Turn that way, which made it scarier!

A wrong choice! Just one did it!

In the name of marriage it came.

Made her to lie and reel every bit

Forcing her to bear an undue shame.

Finally it was all over!

She got separated at last!

The bitterness that lasted over

Years seemed to be washed fast!

She was there as a seven year old,

In her native with her dear ones,

Eyes closed and hands then quick to fold

She welcomed her beloved rain god then!

Welcome!
