How do we make our gender empowered in our society?

In today's world many women excel in their career equally like a man and additionally take care of the family as well( kind of over loaded) but still we don't have the place we deserve.

What it takes to make our gender empowered in the society we live.

Could education make it happen?

No, many of us are better educated than old times still we lack something.

Would financial freedom make it happen ?

No, many of us are earning as equally as our better half still we lack something.

It's an age old blind belief that

" man is the bread winner and women is taking care of the children and house".

I am not sure in which era this belief started having its place in the society.

If we read about ancient scripts or stories or even period movies there was always a good place for women in the society apart from their family/ kitchen.

Even this is depicted through spiritual scriptures, we have arthanatheswar has equal halves of both genders.

Like gods are portrayed for some roles godess' are equally portrayed for specific roles.

So it's wise to conclude that somewhere in the history of invasions women were subjected to or confined to family and pleasure which is truly in contrast with our history and it's deep rooted now.

If it's not the education, financial independence then what it takes to bring gender equality in our society??

How do we enlighten people to treat women equally and who should do that ?
