Not a pressing matter but just wanted to know about residenc address after marriage??

Hey ladies,

I hope you are all doing great. I just had a query...I need to renew my passport while I am in US. My husband says for permanent address I need to give my inlaw's home address as my permanent address in India. Is that true? I cant use my father's address as my permanent address? I really would not like to use my inlaw's address for anything. (Dh does not have a property on his name as of now).

He says residing address will be the US address (on passport) but permanent address will be inlaw's address on documents. Any way to avoid it? Please just let me know !
