Child...like a seed

A child is like a seed sowed on fertile soil....

Family is the place one grows and coils...

Like a farmer tending and plowing the fields,

A child is taken care of well to shield.

Seeds are watered daily for its growth...

Bringing the child up, is taken as a 'Oath'

'Sunlight' is essential as the plant grows...

'Father' plays the role of a 'Hero' and ensures

His child has no 'Foes'

The plant is held strong by its roots,

It bears the weight as it grows...

'Mother' nurtures the child same way...

Not faltering for a moment too...she consumes

All the problems, the weight

Not to take her down, she prays...

The plant grows big into a tree..standing tall

With branches, spreading far and high...

Feels like its reaching for the sky....

The child grows to become an 'Adult'

Making the parents proud, no place for insults.

The tree yields fruits that is cherished by all...

Son/Daughter's good education, career, life is what the family wants

Like the branches that becomes a shelter and refuge for the beings...

We must provide for our near and dear ones

Without expecting...

Like the plant that would wither if it's not attended to,

And given the supplements...

A child would also stumble, and would

Grow to be discontent...
