New to Bay area- apartments near elementary/day care

Hi all,

We will be moving to bay area from India. My husband's work place will be Mountain view. I have 7 year old and 2 year old. We will be shifting in october. Once the kids settle down, even I will start working. We need to look for apartment near good elementary school and day care.

Could you please suggest in which areas should I look for apartments? Mountain view seems to be very expensive. How about Sunnyvale/ Santa clara/Fremont/Sanjose. Looking at google maps these areas look nearby to Mountain view.
