Am i doing the right thing to my mom

Looking at the creamy layer it sounds that you are not doing any good to your mom.

But deeper when you look at the reasons, you are not intending to harm her.

The solution would be is to first you and your spouse decide what exactly you think would be best for your future and then convey openly to your mom about this.

Do not get emotional and cry - that will lead you away from the most possible solution that would keep you all happy.

She doesn't need to work till she retires. She can join you earlier, if possible. Give her the assurance that you are there for her. No mom would be a spoiler to her loving daughter. She will understand and would stand by you.

Most important is that you and your spouse will have to understand each other and then make your mom understand.
